Efektivitas Penggunaan Metode Talking Stick Dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berbicara Pada Materi Teks Pidato di Kelas VII SMP 10 Muhammadiyah Bandung
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan metode Talking Stick dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa pada materi teks pidato di kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 10 Bandung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan subjek sebanyak 27 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam aktivitas dan keterampilan berbicara siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II. Nilai rata-rata observasi aktivitas siswa meningkat dari 58,75 menjadi 87,5, dan nilai rata-rata keterampilan berbicara meningkat dari 60 menjadi 85, keduanya masuk dalam kategori sangat baik pada siklus II. Peningkatan ini didukung oleh pembelajaran yang menyenangkan melalui metode Talking Stick, penggunaan media video, icebreaking, serta permainan yang mampu mendorong siswa lebih aktif, percaya diri, dan terlibat dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, metode Talking Stick terbukti efektif sebagai strategi pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa, khususnya dalam menyampaikan pidato.
