Analisis Pemerolehan Bahasa Inggris sebagai Bahasa Pertama (B1) pada Anak Usia Dini dalam Kajian Psikolinguistik
Abstract
Pemerolehan bahasa pertama (B1) pada anak umumnya berupa bahasa Indonesia atau bahasa daerah yang digunakan dalam lingkungan keluarga. Namun, terdapat fenomena yang berbeda pada seorang anak Indonesia yang memperoleh bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pertama sejak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pemerolehan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pertama pada Baby Z berdasarkan kajian psikolinguistik melalui analisis aspek fonologi, morfologi, dan sintaksis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan objek penelitian seorang anak berusia lima tahun yang menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pertama dalam komunikasi sehari-hari. Data diperoleh melalui observasi terhadap ujaran Baby Z, wawancara dengan orang tua, serta teknik catat, kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan aspek fonologi, morfologi, dan sintaksis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada aspek fonologi masih ditemukan penyederhanaan bunyi pada kata shark yang diucapkan menjadi syak akibat penghilangan fonem /r/, sedangkan pada aspek morfologi Baby Z telah mampu menggunakan pronomina, kontraksi, dan verba secara tepat. Pada aspek sintaksis, Baby Z mampu menghasilkan kalimat deklaratif, interogatif, dan imperatif, meskipun pada beberapa ujaran masih ditemukan struktur kalimat yang belum lengkap. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan bahasa Inggris secara konsisten dalam lingkungan keluarga, pemberian kosakata melalui interaksi sehari-hari, pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbahasa Inggris, serta pendidikan nonformal melalui kursus bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahasa Inggris dapat diperoleh sebagai bahasa pertama oleh anak Indonesia apabila memperoleh paparan bahasa yang intensif dan berkelanjutan sejak usia dini.
