Implementasi Metode Membaca PQRST sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Pemahaman Bacaan Fiksi pada Peserta Didik Kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah Kota Tasikmalaya
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana keberhasilan pengimplementasian metode membaca PQRST terhadap teks fiksi pada peserta didik jenjang SMA kelas XI. Latar belakang dari penelitain ini adalah untuk mengatahui sejauh mana metode membaca PQRST dapat mempengaruhi pemahan peserta didik dalam memahami unsur intrinsik dan makna tersirat dalam teks fiksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) untuk memperoleh data melalui pertanyaan pilihan ganda. Tahapan dari penelitian ini yaitu dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode PQRST dalam membaca teks fiksi dapat meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik yang lebih mendalam terhadap isi cerita. Selain itu, aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran meningkat terutama peserta didik mampu menyimpulkan isi teks dan menganalisis unsur intrinsik dalam teks yang mereka baca.
