Penggunaan Media Sosial TikTok dalam Pembelajaran Menyimak Materi Teks Berita Siswa Kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Gowa
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan media sosial TikTok dalam pembelajaran menyimak teks berita serta untuk mengetahui hasil penerapannya pada siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Gowa. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya minat siswa dalam pembelajaran menyimak yang bersifat konvensional, serta kebutuhan akan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. TikTok sebagai platform berbasis audio- visual dinilai mampu meningkatkan perhatian dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran menyimak, khususnya pada materi teks berita. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 34 siswa kelas XI Bahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan TikTok mampu meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak siswa, seperti dalam memahami isi berita, mengidentifikasi unsur 5W+1H, dan membedakan informasi faktual. Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan respon positif dan lebih aktif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, penggunaan TikTok sebagai media pembelajaran dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak teks berita pada siswa SMA. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman dalam menyimak teks berita dan bijak dalam menggunakan platfrom media sosial TikTok agar dapat dimanfaatkan dengan baik.
