Simbolisme Budaya Jawa Ungkapan Tradisional di Kecamatan Patianrowo, Kabupaten Nganjuk, Provinsi Jawa Timur Tahun 2026
Abstract
Sastra lisan merupakan bagian dari folklor yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun melalui tradisi lisan dan hidup dalam kehidupan masyarakat tanpa menggunakan media tulisan (dari mulut ke mulut). Salah satu bentuk sastra lisan yang memiliki nilai budaya tinggi adalah ungkapan tradisional. Ungkapan tradisional merupakan satuan bahasa yang mengandung makna kiasan dan bersumber dari budaya suatu masyarakat yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun. Di era kemajuan teknologi yang begitu pesat warisan budaya berupa ungkapan tradisional ini mulai terpinggirkan. Oleh karena itu peneliti mengkaji bagaimana bentuk, makna, dan fungsi simbolisme budaya Jawa berupa ungkapan tradisional yang berada di Kecamatan Patianrowo, Kabupaten Nganjuk tahun 2026. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana bentuk, makna, dan fungsi ungkapan tradisional di kecamatan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Melalui penelitian deskriptif, data yang didapat di lapangan apa adanya tanpa perlakuan atau manipulasi. Dalam penelitian ini teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi dan wawancara. Dengan teknis analisis data berupa mengelompokkan data berdasarkan kategori bentuk, makna, dan fungsi. Lalu memberikan tanda pada data, menyusun isi, kemudian mendeskripsikan data. Pada penelitian ini digunakan triangulasi metode sebagai teknik untuk menguji keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian dari ungkapan yang telah ditemukan berupa kerata basa, tembung entar, paribasan, bebasan, saloka, cangkriman, pepindhan, candra, wangsalan, parikan, sanepa, pralambang, dan sandi asma.
