Dampak Penggunaan English Slang di Platform TikTok terhadap Keterampilan Menulis Bahasa Indonesia pada Remaja
Abstract
Penelitian ini dibuat dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui dampak penggunaan English slang di TikTok terhadap keterampilan menulis Bahasa Indonesia pada remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, yaitu mengumpulkan data dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner online yang diisi oleh 67 responden. Metode ini dipilih karena dianggap lebih mudah menjangkau target penelitian dengan luas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dampak penggunaan English slang di TikTok terhadap keterampilan menulis Bahasa Indonesia tergolong rendah, yang menandakan bahwa kesadaran responden terhadap penggunaan bahasa sesuai EYD masih cukup tinggi. Namun, ditemukan pula bahwa dengan menggunakan English slang dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dalam berkomunikasi sebagian besar responden. Oleh karena itu, kondisi ini dapat menjadi peluang bagi tenaga pendidik untuk mengintegrasikan literasi digital ke dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kepada remaja agar mereka mampu menggunakan bahasa secara bijak dan sesuai konteks.
