Kesulitan Siswa dalam Menulis Karangan Sederhana
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan siswa dalam menulis karangan sederhana pada siswa kelas VI SDS HKBP Maranatha. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 14 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes menulis karangan bebas minimal dua paragraf. Data dianalisis dengan mengidentifikasi kesalahan pada aspek penentuan ide tulisan, penggunaan huruf kapital, penggunaan tanda baca, penyusunan kalimat, dan penggunaan kata hubung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menulis karangan sederhana. Kesulitan terbesar ditemukan pada aspek menentukan ide tulisan dengan persentase 78,6%, penggunaan huruf kapital 71,4%, penggunaan tanda baca 64,3%, penyusunan kalimat efektif 57,1%, dan penggunaan kata hubung 50%. Siswa terlihat lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu untuk berpikir dibandingkan menulis serta masih melakukan berbagai kesalahan dalam penggunaan ejaan dan penyusunan kalimat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan menulis karangan sederhana siswa masih perlu ditingkatkan melalui latihan menulis yang berkelanjutan dan penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang lebih menarik agar siswa lebih mudah mengembangkan ide dan menulis dengan baik.
