Karakteristik Peserta Didik Kelas VIII dalam Interaksi Akademik Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMPN 5 Malang
Abstract
Peserta didik kelas VIII berada pada masa remaja awal yang ditandai dengan perkembangan kognitif, sosial, dan emosional yang memengaruhi keterlibatan mereka dalam interaksi akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakteristik peserta didik kelas VIII G SMPN 5 Malang dalam interaksi akademik pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, pola interaksi akademik yang dominan, serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas peserta didik kelas VIII G dan guru Bahasa Indonesia SMPN 5 Malang. Data penelitian terdiri atas data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh secara langsung melalui kegiatan observasi pembelajaran dan wawancara dengan guru serta peserta didik. Sementara itu, data sekunder diperoleh dari berbagai dokumen pendukung. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik memiliki karakteristik kognitif, sosial, dan emosional yang beragam. Pola interaksi akademik yang dominan meliputi tanya jawab, diskusi kelompok, serta presentasi dan peer assessment. Interaksi akademik dipengaruhi oleh motivasi belajar, kepercayaan diri, strategi pembelajaran guru, lingkungan kelas, dan hubungan antarpeserta didik. Temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang interaktif dan kolaboratif dapat mendukung perkembangan peserta didik secara optimal.
