Konflik Sosial dalam Film Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika karya Hanum Salsabiela Rais dan Rangga Almahendra: Kajian Sosiologi Sastra
Abstract
Konflik sosial setelah tragedi serangan terhadap gedung kembar WTC pada 11 September 2001. Amerika turut membentuk stereotip negatif yang mengaitkan Islam dengan kekerasan dampaknyacitra Islam menjadi buruk dan dianggap sebagai agama yang tidak rasional.Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengetahuai Konfik Sosial dalam Film Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerikasutradara Rizal Mantovani. Menggunakan kajian sosiologi sastra studi yang menganalisis hubungan timbal balik antara karya sastra dengan masyarakatbaik sebagai cerminan (refleksi) dari kondisi sosial, budaya, ekonomi, dan politik di suatu zaman, maupun sebagai sarana yang memengaruhimasyarakat. Pendekatan ini melihat karya sastra tidak lahir dalam ruang kosong sosial, membawa dampak bagi masyarakatyang berfokus pada makna konflik sosial dari tanda-tanda yang muncul.Dengan pendekatan ini, peneliti menelaah simbol-simbol yang terdapat dalam film tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa film Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika menggambarkan strereotip nyata dari definisi konflik sosial. Konflik dalam film berhasil menggambarkan bagaimana konflik sosial dapat terjadi. Adanya kesenjangan ini didasari oleh ketidaktahuan, penggiringan opini dari media, dan trauma tragedi yang langsung diarahkan pada salah satu pihak. Melalui konflik tersebut, penonton diajak menyadari bahwa fobia ketakutan yang tidak beralasan berpotensi merusak keharmonisan hubungan sosial secara luas.
