Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang tradisi Maccera Tasi’ dalam perspektif sastra di Kota Palopo. Penelitian ini ialah penelitan deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah informan dan Masyarakat Palopo. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan teknik rekam. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam menganalisis yaitu teknik analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tradisi Maccera Tasi’ mengalami proses perpaduan antara budaya dengan sastra, sastra sebagai sarana melihat budaya dari berbagai fungsi, yakni: (1) Fungsi rekreatif yaitu untuk memberikan kesenangan atau hiburan bagi pembacanya. (2) Fungsi estetis, sastra mampu memberikan keindahan bagi pembacanya. (3) Fungsi moralitas, sastra juga memberikan pengetahuan terhadap pembaca mengenai moral baik ataupun buruk.
