Pendidikan Kemandirian dalam Puisi “Surat dari Ibu” karya Asrul Sani: Kajian Teori Strukturalisme
Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pendidikan kemandirian sebagai bagian dari pembentukan karakter peserta didik serta potensi karya sastra, khususnya puisi, sebagai medium reflektif dalam menanamkan nilai tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap konstruksi nilai pendidikan kemandirian dalam puisi Surat dari Ibu karya Asrul Sani melalui analisis struktural terhadap relasi antarunsur intrinsik puisi. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan strukturalisme, yang menganalisis tema, diksi, citraan, struktur larik dan bait, gaya bahasa, serta amanat puisi sebagai satu kesatuan makna. Data diperoleh melalui pembacaan mendalam teks puisi dan dianalisis secara interpretatif berdasarkan hubungan internal antarunsur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai kemandirian dalam puisi tersebut dibangun secara implisit melalui simbol ruang bebas, metafora perjalanan, serta relasi antara ekspresi kasih dan pelepasan. Empat indikator kemandirian, yaitu kemampuan mengambil keputusan mandiri, sikap tidak bergantung pada orang lain, ketangguhan menghadapi kesulitan, serta tanggung jawab terhadap diri dan pilihan hidup, terjalin secara koheren melalui pola struktural puisi. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kemandirian tidak dimaknai sebagai kebebasan tanpa batas, melainkan sebagai kematangan emosional dan tanggung jawab personal. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan struktural efektif untuk mengungkap nilai pendidikan dalam puisi dan memberikan implikasi teoretis serta praktis bagi pengembangan pendidikan karakter berbasis sastra.
