Ekranisasi Novel Rumah untuk Alie Karya Lenn Liu Menjadi Film Rumah untuk Alie karya Herwin Novianto
Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas proses ekranisasi novel Rumah untuk Alie karya Lenn Liu menjadi film Rumah untuk Alie karya Herwin Novianto. Fokus penelitian ini adalah analisis perubahan pada alur, karakter (tokoh), dan latar pada proses ekranisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Rumah untuk Alie karya Lenn Liu dan film Rumah untuk Alie karya Herwin Novianto. Data yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini diperoleh dengan teknik simak, dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses ekranisasi yang dilakukan melalui penciutan, penambahan, dan perubahan variasi. Penciutan terlihat pada karakter dan latar, dimana beberapa tokoh dan lokasi yang ada di novel disederhanakan atau dihilangkan dalam film. Penambahan terjadi pada adegan tertentu untuk memperkuat ketegangan dan konflik visual. Sedangkan perubahan variasi muncul pada alur dan adegan agar lebih sesuai dengan medium film dan fokus cerita. Meski ada perbedaan, film tetap mempertahankan inti cerita dari novel.
