Visualisasi Pandangan Dunia Pengarang dalam Film Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck Melalui Persfektif Strukturalisme Genetik Lucien Goldmann
Abstract
Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis visualisasi pandangan dunia penulis dalam film Tenggelamnya Kapal Van der Wijck melalui perspektif Strukturalisme Genetik Lucien Goldmann. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengungkapan bagaimana elemen visual sinematik merekonstruksi kritik sosial Hamka terhadap sistem tradisional Minangkabau pada awal abad ke-20. Studi ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menganalisis dialog, simbol visual, sinematografi, mise-en-scène, dan konteks sosial-historis yang direpresentasikan dalam film tersebut. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa film tersebut memvisualisasikan pandangan dunia penulis melalui citra simbolik, hierarki spasial, pencahayaan, kostum, dan dramatisasi emosional yang mencerminkan ketidaksetaraan sosial dan konflik antara tradisi dan modernitas. Karakter Zainuddin mewakili kesadaran kolektif kelompok marginal yang menentang struktur adat yang diskriminatif, sementara kapal yang tenggelam melambangkan runtuhnya otoritas tradisional yang kaku di hadapan rasionalitas, kemanusiaan, dan nilai-nilai egaliter. Melalui visualitas sinematik, film ini tidak hanya mengadaptasi ide-ide sastra Hamka tetapi juga merekonstruksi kritik ideologis terhadap struktur sosial feodal dalam masyarakat Minangkabau.
