Peningkatan Keterampilan Menulis Cerpen dengan Menggunakan Metode Empiris pada Siswa Kelas XI MIPA 1 MA Yapit Taretta
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah dengan menggunakan metode empiris dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerpen pada siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 MA Yapit Taretta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 1 siklus dengan tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 MA Yapit Taretta sebanyak 33 orang dan fokus penelitian yaitu, kehadiran dan keaktifan siswa, serta hasil pada tes dan hasil dari siklus 1. Pada hasil tes yang dilakukan pada pertemuan pertama di siklus 1, Hasil yang didapat dari karangan siswa pada pertemuan pertama yaitu sekitar 31 siswa atau 97% siswa tidak tuntas dalam menulis karangan dengan memperhatikan 4 aspek penilaian, dan 1 siswa atau sekita 3% dikatakan tuntas. Disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman siswa terhapa cerpen, unsur-unsur cerpen, kaidah bahasa, dan empiris masih kurang. Lalu dilanjut pemberian materi pada pertemuan kedua hingga terakhir dengan menerapkan metode empiris serta penjelasaan mengenai cerpen, sehingga didapatkan hasil dari 33 subjek siswa kelas XI Mipa 1 MA Yapit Taretta terdapat 12% siswa yang belum tuntas belajarnya sedangkan siswa yang tuntas belajarnya sebesar 88%. Pada siklus 1 ini siswa kelas XI Mipa 1 dinyatakan tuntas dalam pembelajaran cerpen dengan menggunakan metode empiris.
