Nilai-Nilai Budaya dalam Tradisi Pernikahan Masyarakat Lampung Pepadun di Kabupaten Tanggamus
Abstract
Tradisi pernikahan masyarakat Lampung Pepadun merupakan salah satu warisan budaya yang masih dilestarikan hingga saat ini dan memiliki makna filosofis yang mendalam. Namun, berbagai nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam setiap prosesi pernikahan adat masyarakat Lampung Pepadun belum banyak diketahui dan dipahami oleh masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam tradisi pernikahan masyarakat Lampung Pepadun di Kabupaten Tanggamus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara dengan tokoh adat, pelaku tradisi, masyarakat setempat, dan dokumentasi di Desa Tanjung Yakin, Kecamatan Pugung, Kabupaten Tanggamus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi pernikahan masyarakat Lampung Pepadun mengandung berbagai nilai budaya, antara lain nilai etika, estetika, agama, dan sosial. Nilai-nilai tersebut tercermin dalam setiap tahapan pelaksanaan tradisi yang melibatkan interaksi sosial dan penggunaan bahasa adat secara khas. Dengan demikian, tradisi pernikahan masyarakat Lampung Pepadun tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai praktik budaya, tetapi juga sebagai representasi nilai-nilai kehidupan yang dijunjung tinggi dalam masyarakat.
