Variasi Posisi dan Fungsi Morfem "Og" dalam Komunikasi Digital Generasi Z di Jawa Timur
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan posisi dan peran morfem "og" dalam komunikasi digital generasi Z di Jawa Timur. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian ini adalah percakapan yang mengandung morfem "og" yang terjadi di aplikasi WhatsApp. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara mendokumentasikan, lalu diklasifikasikan sesuai dengan posisi kemunculannya dan dianalisis menggunakan studi morfologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa morfem "og" bisa muncul di berbagai tempat, yaitu di awal, tengah, dan akhir kalimat. Dari 40 data yang ditemukan, penggunaan pada posisi akhir paling banyak dengan persentase 62,5%, diikuti oleh posisi tengah 32,5%, dan posisi awal hanya 5%. Secara morfologis, "og" tidak berfungsi sebagai afiks yang mengubah bentuk, kelas kata, atau makna dari kata dasar. Morfem ini sebaiknya dianggap sebagai morfem setengah bebas yang fungsinya adalah untuk memperkuat makna dari apa yang diucapkan. Menurut fungsinya, "og" di awal berfungsi untuk menarik perhatian dan menekankan emosi, di tengah berfungsi sebagai tanda untuk menonjolkan informasi tertentu, dan di akhir berfungsi untuk menegaskan kepastian atau kebenaran dari apa yang diucapkan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemakaian morfem "og" adalah suatu bentuk inovasi dalam bahasa yang mencerminkan cara berkomunikasi generasi Z yang ekspresif, fleksibel, dan sesuai dengan konteks di dunia digital.
