A Meningkatkan Kemampuan Operasi Hitung Perkalian dan Pembagian melalui Metode Jarimatika pada Siswa kelas III SD Negeri 143 Kaluku Kabupaten Luwu Utara
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan operasi hitung perkalian dan pembagian melalui metode jarimatika pada siswa kelas III SD Negeri 143 Kaluku Kabupaten Luwu Utara. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus, dimana setiap siklus mencakup perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas III yang berjumlah 25 siswa, terdiri dari 12 siswa laki-laki dan 13 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, serta capaian hasil belajar siswa. Pada siklus I, keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mencapai 85,2% dengan kategori sangat terlaksana, aktivitas siswa 78,1% dengan kategori aktif, ketuntasan hasil belajar mencapai 68% dengan rata-rata nilai 77,6. Setelah perbaikan pada siklus II, keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mencapai 96,5% dengan kategori sangat terlaksana, aktivitas siswa mencapai 86,4% dengan kategori sangat aktif, serta ketuntasan hasil belajar 84% dengan rata-rata 86. Dengan demikian, metode jarimatika terbukti efektif meningkatkan kemampuan operasi hitung perkalian dan pembagian siswa, menciptakan pembelajaran yang aktif, menyenangkan serta membantu siswa memahami konsep operasi hitung perkalian dan pembagian secara konkret.
