Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Pemahaman Menggunakan Metode PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summarize, Test) pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Murid Kelas VA SDN 28 Mancani Kota Palopo
Abstract
Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan membaca
pemahama murid kelas VA melalui penerapan metode PQRST (Preview, Question,
Read, Summarize, Test) pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SDN 28 Mancani Kota
Palopo. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dan setiap siklus terdiri atas tahap
perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian
berjumlah 24 murid. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes membaca
pemahaman. Lembar observasi digunakan untuk menilai keterlaksanaan pembelajaran
dan aktivitas belajar murid, sedangkan tes digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan
membaca pemahaman murid. Indikator membaca pemahaman yang diukur dalam
penelitian ini meliputi pemahaman literal, reorganisasi, inferensial, evaluatif, dan
apreasiatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode PQRST dapat
meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman murid. Pada tahap pra siklus, hanya
17% murid yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal. Setelah penerapan tindakan
pada siklus I, ketuntasa belajar meningkat menjadi 42%, dengan rata-rata
keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mencapai 92% dan aktivitas murid mencapai 92%.
Perbaikan yang dilakukan pada siklus II kembali meningkatkan ketuntasan belajar
menjadi 75%, sedangkan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mencapai 100% dan aktivitas
murid juga mencapai 100%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode PQRST mampu
menciptkan proses membaca yang lebih aktif, terstruktur, dan bermakna sehingga
dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman murid dalam pelajaran
Bahasa Indonesia.
