Etika Berbahasa Generasi Z Dalam Penggunaan Media Sosial
Abstract
Perkembangan media sosialtelahmemengaruhicaraGenerasi Z berkomunikasi dan menggunakanbahasadalamkehidupansehari-hari. PenelitianinibertujuanuntukmenganalisisetikaberbahasaGenerasi Z dalampenggunaan media sosial. Penelitianmenggunakanmetodedeskriptifkualitatifdenganpendekatankomunikasi dan kebahasaan. Data diperolehmelaluiobservasi, studipustaka, dokumentasi, dan penyebaranangketkepada 50 respondenGenerasi Z. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkanbahwasebagianbesarrespondenmemilikipemahaman yang baikmengenaipentingnyapenggunaanbahasa yang sopandalamkomunikasi digital. Namun, berbagaibentukpelanggaranetikaberbahasa, sepertipenggunaan kata-kata kasar, ujarankebencian, dan cyberbullying, masihseringditemukan di media sosial. Penelitianini juga menunjukkanbahwapenggunaanbahasagaul, singkatan, emoji, sertaistilahasingmenjadicirikhaskomunikasiGenerasi Z di ruang digital. Oleh karenaitu, diperlukanpeningkatanliterasi digital dan edukasietikaberbahasa agar interaksi di media sosialdapatberlangsungsecarasantun, bertanggungjawab, dan menghargai orang lain.
