Analisis Fenomena Campur Kode Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Gaul pada Kalangan Mahasiswa di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Medan
Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi, platform media sosial, dan perubahan cara berinteraksi di kalangan generasi muda telah berpengaruh pada cara penggunaan bahasa di kalangan mahasiswa. Salah satu contohnya adalah munculnya fenomena campur kode antara Bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa gaul dalam komunikasi sehari-hari. Fenomena ini penting untuk diteliti karena dapat memengaruhi penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia baik di lingkungan akademik maupun sosial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bentuk penggunaan campur kode antara Bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa gaul serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, serta efeknya terhadap pemakaian Bahasa Indonesia di kalangan mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap, termasuk reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa campur kode lebih sering digunakan dalam konteks nonformal, seperti saat berkomunikasi dengan teman sebaya dan via media sosial. Faktor yang paling berpengaruh dalam penggunaan campur kode adalah lingkungan sosial serta kemajuan teknologi komunikasi. Dampak positifnya adalah terwujudnya komunikasi yang lebih santai, dekat, dan ekspresif, sementara dampak negatifnya berpotensi menurunkan kebiasaan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar dalam situasi formal. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan campur kode harus ditangani dengan bijak agar mahasiswa dapat tetap menggunakan bahasa sesuai dengan konteks komunikasi, terutama dalam lingkungan akademik.
