Representasi Kritik Sosial dalam Percakapan Tokoh pada Novel Obrolan Sukab: Analisis Wacana Kritis Norman Fairclough
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merepresentasikan kritik sosial dalam novel Obrolan Sukab karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis wacana kritis (AWK) sesuai model Norman Fairclough. Metode yag diterapkan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan penekanan pada dimensi teks, yang dianalisis melalui tiga aspek bahasa, yakni kosakata, gramatikal, dan struktur teks, serta tiga dimensi makna utama, yaitu nilai ekperensial (pengalaman), nilai relasional (relasi), dan nilai ekpresif (ekpresi). Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari kutipan dialog, narasi, dan deskripsi di dalam novel yang mengandung elemen kritik sosial. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi pustaka dengan cata membaca, mencatat, dan mengelompokkkan data yang relevan. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kritik sosial mencerminkan kondisi sosial seperti ketidakadilan, hubungan kekuasaan, dan dinamika masyarakat. Nikai pengalaman terlihat dalam penggambaran realitas melalui pilihan kosakata, nilai relasi muncul dalam interaksi dalam tokoh, sementara nilai ekspresi tercermin dalam sikap, penilaian dan emosi yang diungkapkan melalui bahasa. Bahasa dalam novel berperan tidak hanya sebagai media komunikasi, tetapi juga sebagai alat untuk membangun makna, ideologi, dan kritik soisla dalam konteks yang lebih luas.
