Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Menyusun Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi Pada Siswa Kelas X-1 SMA Taman Siswa Medan
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam memahami materi teks laporan hasil observasi melalui penerapan pendekatan Problem Based Learning (PBL) di kelas X-1 SMA Taman Siswa Medan pada Tahun Ajaran 2025-2026. Jenis penelitian yang dipilih adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dijalankan dalam dua siklus berurutan, dengan masing-masing siklus mencakup empat tahapan utama: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Sebanyak 15 peserta didik kelas X-1 ditetapkan sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan lembar observasi, dokumentasi kegiatan, LKPD pilihan ganda yang memuat 10 butir soal, serta tes hasil belajar, dengan Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yang ditetapkan pada angka 70. Data hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa pada siklus pertama, hanya 3 peserta didik yang berhasil memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan, setara dengan 20%, sementara 12 peserta didik lainnya belum mencapai standar tersebut (80%). Pada siklus kedua, terjadi lonjakan kemajuan yang cukup berarti, di mana 13 peserta didik telah tuntas dengan persentase 86,7%, dan hanya 2 peserta didik (13,3%) yang masih belum memenuhi kriteria. Capaian tersebut menegaskan bahwa model Problem Based Learningterbukti berhasil mendorong peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada pembelajaran teks laporan hasil observasi.
